Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Tallapoosa County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.

An email sent to the site may be retained so a response can be prepared. Messages remain within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Tallapoosa County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Tallapoosa County Sheriff's Department, Circuit Clerk, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Criminal Justice Information Services Division, and Alabama Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through a box is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider sets its own retention and disclosure rules. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to sheriff, court, state agency, legal resource, and outside search websites. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy rules apply. Read them before providing personal information.
Some advertising partners may use activity across multiple sites to select ads. That tracking occurs on the partner's systems, not the systems operated by Tallapoosa County Criminal History.
